ACCREDITATION OF ENGINEERING LEARNING PROGRAMMES
AT NEW ERA COLLEGE OF ARTS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

1. The College is aware of an urgent public notice issued by the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) on the 12th July 2023, with the subject matter URGENT: INTENTION TO REVOKE THE ACCREDITATION OF LISTED ENGINEERING LEARNING PROGRAMMES.
2. The College confirms to the general public and prospective students that it is in possession of all accreditation documentation including the certificates of accreditation issued by Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) for the listed Engineering learning programmes at New Era College;
a. Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics
b. Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Telecommunications
c. Diploma in Construction Engineering
d. Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
e. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
f. Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering
3. The College assures the general public and our prospective students that it is engaging with the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) to address the impasse.
4. All prospective students accepted in the listed Engineering learning programmes are advised to await further communication from the College before making any drastic decisions and to contact the admission department for any enquiries at admissions @neweracollege.ac.bw or call +267 3933533.
5. The College takes matters of accreditation very seriously and always endeavors to meet the standards required by relevant regulatory authorities.
