Since 2019, New Era College has been hosting a National STEM Hackathon in partnership with the Mathematics Association of Botswana. The annual STEM Hackathon has become revered as a dynamic and engaging event designed to inspire and empower secondary school students with a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).The Hackathon aims to provide a platform for young minds to collaborate, innovate, and create solutions to real-world problems using STEM principles. Through the use of specially designed STEM kits, students will learn the fundamentals of modern skills such as programming, electronics and robotics. Students will also develop critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and innovation skills essential for their future academic and professional careers.
