What are the entry requirements if I want to enroll into your College?
Admission requirements differ depending on the programme. However, the following are the general entry requirements:
Faculty of Engineering
36 points and above and have credits in Mathematics, Sciences and a pass in English at BGCSE/IGCSE level. Those under OVC must have 31 points and above.
Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Forensic Sciences and Faculty of Special & Inclusive Education
36 points and above and have a credit in Mathematics/Science and a minimum C in English at BGCSE/IGCSE level. Those under OVC must have 31 points and above.
Are applications for 2025 intake open?
Yes, our 2025 Intake is now open and will continue until August 2023. It is best if you apply now so that you can reserve your space. Our course advisors will help you with your application.
How can I find out if New Era College offers accredited programmes?

I didn't meet the 36-point cut-off for Sponsorship. What are my options?
Ghodrati Foundation
Engineering and Science programmes – 45%
Commerce, Forensic Science, Special Education – 20%
How much is the application fee?
Please note that currently, the college does not charge application fees
Where are you located and how do I get there?
We are located in Block 8 across Airport Junction mall. To reach us via public transit, take Block 8 Route 3 from the station and you will be dropped off at the College gate.
Do you offer student accommodation?
Yes, we provide off-campus student housing at an affordable cost. However, accommodation is limited and prioritized for first-year students (first come- first serve).
Do I need to apply for sponsorship before starting lessons?
If you are not self-sponsored you need to apply for sponsorship with DTEF once you receive an Admission Letter from New Era College. You can apply at www.tef.gov.bw Once you have received your Sponsorship Letter please send it to the Admissions Unit via email admissions@neweracollege.ac.bw
