Senate Executive

The New Era College Senate Executive consists of a group of highly experienced professionals who hold key leadership positions within the college administration. The Senate Executive is responsible for strategic decision-making, policy formulation, and overall management of the college's operations to ensure the institution's success and progress.

Mr. Daruosh Ghodrati joined the institution in 2012 and has grown through the ranks until he was appointed the President of New Era College. Daruosh is a member of the New Era College Council, a member of the Ramotswa Unified School Advisory Board, and a board trustee for the Ghodrati Foundation.

Mr Danesh Sobhani is the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness at New Era College, with expertise in quality assurance, strategic planning, and performance management. Over a decade of leadership in business development, financial oversight, and construction project management.

Dr. Benedict Sewe Odhiambo is the Ag. Vice President – Academic Affairs & Research at New Era College of Arts, Science and Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) in Marketing and Finance from Agra University, India; Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and Finance from Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu, India

 

Dr Benedict Sewe Odhiambo

Setso Maakwe is the Vice-President for Enrollment & Student Advancement. With over 17 years experience in Sales and Business Development, his responsibilities include overseeing three directorates, being The Directorates of Enrollment, The Directorate of Student Welfare and The Registers Office. Some of these responsibilities include Student Enrollment, Retention, Advancement as well as institutional growth.

Mr. Phillip S. R. Tsumake is the founding Registrar of New Era College since January 2014. He is a seasoned administrator and manager in the education space, having served as school head of various secondary schools in Botswana between 1987 and 2000.

Sidwell Bwawa, Director for Strategy formulation, Implementation and Performance Management-Division of Institutional Effectiveness (IE) at NEC has been employed with the College for 14 years: 10 years in Academic & 4 years in Institutional Effectiveness.  Has a master’s degree in Strategic Management -Chinhoyi University of Technology, Zimbabwe.

Mr. Bogosi Monyamane is a self-driven educationalist with varied experience in Education & Training, and currently reading towards a Doctorate in Education. He is qualified with Master of Education (Botswana Open University), MSc in Computer Systems Management (Botho University)

Dr Jerald Hondonga is currently heading The School of Construction at New Era and Acting Coordinator for Research Management & Innovation. Jerald is a PHD graduate from Tshwane University of Technology in the Technology and Vocational Education department.

Prof. Cheddi Kiravu, PhD is associate Professor of sustainable energy systems and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Engineer. He is a Chartered Electrical Engineer (UK) and an ERB registered professional engineer.
