Gaborone, Botswana – New Era College of Arts, Science and Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Daruosh Ghodrati (MBA) as President, effective 1 January 2026.
Mr Daruosh Ghodrati most recently held the position of Vice President of Administration and Finance from 2019 - 2025, where he oversaw the College’s administrative and financial functions and played a key role in strengthening institutional systems, operational efficiency and governance. Mr Ghodrati started working at New Era College in 2012 where he was appointed as Director of Operations and Finance. His appointment reflects an intentional leadership transition grounded in strong institutional knowledge, stability and a forward-looking strategy focused on enhancing TVET and digital transformation.
As President, Mr Daruosh Ghodrati will serve as the College’s Chief Administrative and Academic Officer, responsible for driving institutional strategy, safeguarding academic quality, and expanding New Era College’s regional and international footprint.
He succeeds Professor Amos Thapisa who concluded a distinguished six-year tenure as Chief Executive Officer at the end of 2025.
