New Era College proudly hosted the 5th Annual Women in Engineering (WIE) Roundtable Talk and Gala Dinner , held under the impactful theme, “Mentorship Matters: Building Stronger Networks For Women Engineers.” The event brought together accomplished women in engineering to share insights, experiences, and visions for fostering greater inclusion and innovation in the field.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our valued sponsors — Lucara Botswana, Engineers Registration Board Botswana, First Capital Bank Botswana, Jindal Africa, Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC), Ramotswa Unified School, and Stem Kits Botswana — whose continued support enables us to drive meaningful conversations and create platforms that inspire change.
The roundtable served as a powerful platform for dialogue on the critical role of mentorship in professional development, resilience in engineering careers, and strategies for breaking gender barriers in engineering. The discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between institutions, industry leaders, and individuals in shaping a more inclusive and dynamic engineering landscape.
We sincerely thank all our distinguished guest speakers, participants, and partners for contributing to the success of this flagship event. Together, we continue to build a future where women in engineering are empowered, supported, and celebrated.
